The TEAC MP-600 Media Player

At just 3-inches wide and 9mm thin, the TEAC MP-600 is large enough to display a 3.5-inch touchscreen and an FM tuner with digital voice recording to boot.

The MP-600 plays XviD, MP3, WMA, DRM9 and JPEG and comes in three different sizes: 1GB, 2GB ($197) and 4GB ($230). If that’s not enough storage for you, it also supports MMC/SD flash memory cards for even more storage.

If you’re interested, you can pick one of these guys up now.

The screen looks so cheap !

  • poemorella

Just got the MP-600 and I\’m quite dissapointed. First of all, it is NOT a touch-screen enabled device, so don\’t get fooled by reviews.

The other and more disturbing issue is that the case will burst open if you fly with it. This is what happened to me right after I bought it and flew from Madrid to Miami. After checking it inside, I found out that the battery is encased in a static protective bag that, with the altitude pressure, inflated and burst the case open. The device works, but I had to open the case, make a hole in the little bag and then close it again. There is a crack in the back due to the expansion of the case when it opened.

Everything else seems to work fine, however, be aware that it will \”explode\” if you fly with it.
