Sony Unveils A Slick New Wi-Fi Audio System

With the VAIO WA1, Sony has displayed a great new wireless boombox that streams music from your PC to anywhere in your home. Even better, the WA1 works with SonicStage, iTunes, Windows Media Player and Internet radio too.

If you can’t already glean this information from the supported players, The WA1 plays ATRAC, MP3, WMA and AAC music formats, and is compatible with all VAIO and non-VAIO PCs.

Aside from streaming music wirelessly from a PC, the WA1 sports up to four hours of battery life and 128MB of onboard RAM, which will store about a CD.

The WA1 features an audio out port and an S/PDIF digital out port that allows you to connect it to your home stereo system.

The WA1 also comes with a remote control and touch-screen sensor, as well as a five-line LCD.

Look for the VAIO WA1 in the coming weeks for a cool $350.
