May the force be with Nikko!! The R2-D2 DVD player and Video Projector

Fans of the Star Wars Trilogy (no matter which) here is something for you! The NIKKO company, specialized in toys of all sorts decided to do something with their Star Wars license and there it is…tadaaaa…the R2D2 video projector and DVD player!! And the best is yet to come…the combo video has been installed inside the famous robot and can be controlled (movements and video) thanks to a Falcon Millenium remote!! As you can see, NIKKO worked hard to offer a big (8kg) and large (341x328x519mm) R2D2. The price is set at 388 000 Yen (around 2345€).

As if it wasn’t enough, “R2″ as we already all call it, features an iPOD dock and a memory card reader! The projector is a DLP with XGA resolution, 1500 lumens and 1800:1 for the contrast ratio!

How long until C3PO comes around !?!
