Sony Rolls Out Some VAIO Lappies, the CR Series

With the more cost-conscious consumer in mind, Sony has announced the VAIO CR series. The laptops are based on Intel’s Santa Rosa platform and offer a 14.1-inch (WXGA) screen. If that’s not enough, the laptops will sport the Santa Rosa 1.8GHz chip and 2GB of RAM. Although the graphics are integrated, the PCs will sport 802.11n so you can get some speedy internet wherever you are. To round out the specs, the CR series will feature a built-in webcam, a keyboard like the MacBook I’m writing this on, and an optical drive.

Pick up the CR series for a cool $1,350 while selecting your favorite color of the five created).
