Panasonic Toughbook Poised to Hit the States
The Santa Rosa push refuses to slow down and Panasonic has jumped on the bandwagon. With the announcement of the CF-52′s availabilty in the US, look for a crowded laptop market when it hits shelves in July for $1650 (base configuration) or $2500 (decked-out version).
The full-featured CF-52 will feature a 2.0GHz chip, up to 4GB of RAM, a 15.4-inch WUXGA or WXGA screen and up to 120 GB shock-mounted hard drive. Along with Bluetooth and wireless a/b/g, the laptop will offer support for 3G. Not bad for a 2-inch thick notebook.
