Nintendo – Nintendo prepaid cards with extra fun bonus where Mario characters come alive!
Nintendo will add a new version of its prepaid card usable at it’s online software download site, e-shop, for 3DS and Wii U. It’s a prepaid card with extra fun bonus called “Asoberu Omaketsuki Nintendo Prepaid Card” (meaning “with playable bonus” in Japanese). It will be out on April 23.
The extra fun bonus makes the prepaid card literally come alive. Hold your 3DS over the card and watch one of the Super Mario characters pop out of the card (viewable through the screen of the 3DS). The character will start moving around and reacting to your voice or action as if it were right there.
You can take pictures of the character as it appears through the 3DS, pick it up and bring it to a different place and play with characters from multiple cards at the same time. It is fun to take pictures of the Mario characters in different places around the house and anywhere you go.
This can be set up by reading the QR code on the card with the 3DS and downloading the “Isshoni Photo Super Mario” software.
The first series that is going to be released on April 23 will be:
1,000 yen card – Goomba (known as Kuirbo in Japan)
2,000 yen card – Mario
3,000 yen card – Princess Peach
Koopa Troopa (known as Nokonoko in Japan), Luigi, and Bowser (known as Koopa in Japan) characters will be out in the second series. Date and prices are not decided yet.
