G-Shock started its year long Shock the World Tour in celebration of CASIO G-Shock’s 30th Anniversary. The much-anticipated tour is finally making its stop in Singapore, bringing a series of action-packed events.

To kick-start the 30th Anniversary celebrations this year, CASIO Singapore presents a G- Shock watch designing competition. Top designers stand to win some attractive prizes and the designer with best design, wins a pair of tickets to Japan, among other prizes!

With a dream to create an indestructible watch, G-Shock was created 30 years ago. After two years of trials and producing more than 200 experimental prototypes, the G-Shock DW-5000 was finally launched in 1983. Its ethos of ‘Never Give Up’ has been deeply rooted in the team ever since, constantly taking up new challenges and pushing the limits of ‘toughness’. Over the decades, G-Shock has been an indispensable element in the areas of sports, art, music, and fashion.

In commemoration of CASIO G-Shock’s 30th Anniversary, CASIO G-Shock is inviting all aficionados to create a design that articulates the essence of G-Shock. In celebration of its milestone, 30 entries will be shortlisted and exhibited in the popup store showcases around Singapore.

Regardless of being the closet creative type or the loud “out there” designer, this is the ultimate opportunity to let creative talents be recognized and to see their designs and ideas come alive on the emblem of youth culture, a G-Shock! Contest starts now till 15th April 2013.
