Gentlemen, it’s White Day. Are you prepared?

Last month, on Valentine’s Day, I wrote that in Japan, it’s a good day – the gifts are for the guys…
But did you read the details in my post? In Japan (also in Korea) we have a special day called White Day. Please read the rules for that day about how to handle things with your girlfriend…
Let me also explain the concept of “giri choco” – translated to “obligation chocolate”. If you live in Japan, you probably received chocolate or some other sweets on Valentine’s Day from a number of different ladies. If you’re lucky you got something from some cute girls. But more than likely you just got some stuff from coworkers, friends, the landlord, the nice lady who lives nearby, etc.
If you’re like me, there is no way you’re going to eat most of that.
But be advised, if you received something on Valentine’s Day, you must return the favor and get something nice for that person on White Day. Do not miss this obligation. Play by the rules and you’ll be in good shape in the months to come…
One always highly recommended chocolate brand is Godiva. There are a lot of new fancy brands that have become very popular. But if you want to be sure to get something she’ll appreciate, Godiva is always a good bet.
So guys, line up and get some nice chocolate…
