Lenovo-MTV CO:LAB, a joint project by Lenovo and MTV in Asia, is a music/movie competition in 7 Asian countries (Japan, India, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Philippines) intended to help young people produce creative works in music and movies using new technologies.

There are 4 categories: DJ, Musician (both singer and instrumental music), film maker, and motion graphic designer. Applicants can choose a category, then create a movie or music on the theme, “Pulse of the World”, and submit their application on the CO:LAB site. Submitted work will then be introduced through various SNS services, providing recognition to the creators.

Award winners for each of the 4 categories will be invited to go to Singapore and create an original music video together on the same theme. That work will be broadcasted on MTV, and award winners will be able to win a Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga and a $10,000 cash prize.
