SEIKO – Astron GPS Solar watch – SAST015/SAST017/SAST019
Precise GPS time-keeping, that automatically adjusts to your time zone. By developing a low-energy-consumption GPS receiver, Seiko has been able to create a watch that connects to the GPS network and uses it to identify both time of day and time zone. The new Astron recognises all 39 time zones on earth, is precise to one second every 100,000 years, and by taking all the energy it needs from light, it never needs a battery change, and a power reserve indicator shows the amount of stored energy. It also has an automatically adjusting calendar, which will be correct until February 28, 2100.
It employs “Super-Clear Coating” – Seiko’s proprietary newly-developed anti-reflective coating, which prevents 99% of light reflection and allows for easy legibility, even in bright light.
There are 3 designs of this watch series which will be released starting on May 24 in Japan and in other countries in the near future: Seiko Astron Bright Titanium and Ceramic Models (SAST015/SAST017/SAST019).
