Santa Rosa and GeForce for Toshiba

It’s Santa Rosa day ! Actually no but you’ll have to get used to that name (we’ve seen worst names in the PC industry) because more and more companies propose this component in their products.

It’s the case of the Qosmio G40 and F40 from Toshiba.

The G40 is a laptop featuring a 17 inches monitor (WUXGA, 1900×1200), Core 2 Duo T7300 or T7100 with 160 or 320GB HDD, analog/digital TV Tuner, Nvidia GeForce 8600GT video card (256MB of DDR3 VRAM) and 1GB RAM.
Better put it on a table cause it weights 5 kg (!), dimensions : 440x303x38mm.

The F40 is what we call a “light version”: 15.4 inches screen (WXGA), analog/digital TV tuner, Core 2 Duo T7100, 1GB RAM and 120GB of disk space. 1kg lighter by the way (379x279x38mm).
