Sony outs a new Walkman W design to sports addicts and even swimmers!

Sony announced today a new update to its Walkman W series with the NWD-W273. Available in Black, Blue and White the NWD-W273 comes only in 4GB and schedule to hit stores in Japan around middle of February. Roughly similar to previous Walkman W series, the NWD-W273 is however now 30% smaller as well as being IPX5 and IPX8 (Waterproof) letting you enjoy music even while swimming! Like previous this new DAP comes with Quick Charge that will give you around 1h of Mp3 playback after a 3 minute worth charge or up to 8h of continuous Mp3 playback once fully charged.

Finally the NWD-W273 is compatible with MP3, WMA, ATRAC, Linear PCM and AAC-LC files weight about 29g and will be sold in Japan around 10,000 Yen or 113 USD.
