The Kenwood RD-UDA55 stereo now available in black

The RD-UDA55 mini-stereo has been on sale in Japan for quite some time, just as a reminder, it can play Compact Discs, SD cards and it supports HDD and external USB products. WMA and MP3 are on the menu and, so is the possibility to rip a CD onto a USB key for example (pretty cool) but you already knew all that, the only news here is the Black color now available (RD-UDA55-B).

But it seems like it still does not support playing MP3 from CD, only USB and SD-card, for some utterly strange reason. An otherwise excellent machine, but that made it basically useless to me, as playing my MP3 music (on CD’s) would be its main function in my house. I had to return it, and bought myself a Thomson CS706, which have everything (except SD) plus 5CD changer and plays MP3 from CD AND wirelessly from my computer. Here in Sweden it was at the same price as the Kenwood. Now I am really satisfied!
