NTT DoCoMo is working for our ears

Thanks to the NikkeiBp magazine we discovered that NTT DoCoMo has developed a new encoding technology for voice communications supposed to reach another level in term of quality for various applications such as cellphones, headsets etc…
The advantages come from the relatively low use of CPU required by this technology and NTT DoCoMo claims that a “life like” audio level is guaranteed.
Of course this “sounds” like a great idea, hopefully the industrials won’t use it as a reason to charge the clients even more, if so many of us will have to wait until it gets cheaper.
