Apple’s IOS open for kinky stuff, app teaches your girl pole dancing.

It’s all over the web right now causing a big hype for concerned parents and evangelists worldwide. Yes, we are talking about the new app developed by Arthur Howie: Pole Dancer Pro.

The app is located in the health & fitness section of Apple’s app store, in essence it teaches girls/women (or men with this type of fetish) how to pole-dance. Pole Dancer Pro has been approved by Apple, and at first glance the app does not showcase any seedy pictures or videos. The havoc came after some overprotective minded people spotted the age rating of this app: 12+. Also noted in the rating is: infrequent mild sexual content or nudity. Pole dancing instructor Jessica Jackson shows users a “step by step” demonstration in the “art of tease, erotic moves, and seductive eye contact”.

The creator, Arthur Howie stated “Forget about social norms, morale and conservative practices that ladies should follow. Nothing is wrong with breaking the rules, if that makes you feel good”. The Sun (and some other newspapers) described it as “a lap dancing sexpot”, influencing the lot of people working at  Children’s charity BIG Ministries and similar associated ethical protectionism groups to try and put a ban to a mere £1.49 app.

We agree that an elevation of the age rating would be in order, but a full ban of the app seems illogical. Apple does realize the competition (Android) is a lot more open to “kinky apps” and banning sensual fitness apps like Pole Dancer Pro might give them the reputation of being a bunch of eunuchs. Sex(y) sells, and it would not be surprising if this app sold better to curious minded men than actual women who’d like to pick up sensual workout skills.
