seems really cool but how does it connect to the internet? is it wireless or does it just connect USB to your PC? I don’t see a Cat connection on it so it must be wireless but there was no mention of it. If so I must have one, I bought a really nice tv, picture-wise but missing so much stuff lol This would be an awesome addition and I really don’t care if it’s Droid 2.3 or 1.0 if it works ;) obviously would prefer ice cream but you get what you get and I could use this

Yep this little buddy comes with WiFi, Micro SD… BUT! There is on the market, at least it was announced in the US, similar products running on ICS.

    the spec reads 512MB ( http://www.thanko.jp/product/2498.html#spec )
Quite interesting actually, for parents or kids.
Plus a cheap DLNA client (which would be more difficult to justify, according to the lastest japanese copyright law)

Yep you are right, I updated the post!

Pretty sad that we are now getting a flood of these devices that seem to be in lock-step regarding design.  Having a fixed position HDMI connector means that on my TVs these will protrude out of the side of the set.  Why not challenge the form convention for more utility?  You know you have to hang a power cord off and many times it will need a USB hub.  Just design something that is more practical in design as opposed to the ‘stick’ form.

Just put your own short hdmi cable extension there — or use a right-angle hdmi bracket if it works for you. Problem solved.
