Epson R-D1s, the retro digital camera for nostalgic people

In July 2004, Epson was already offering a retro looking compact digital camera, the R-D1. 2 years later, Epson continues with the R-D1s and its 6.1Mpix CCD sensor, a 28mm lens (COLOR-SKOPAR 28mm F3.5), and retro look. If you’re into this kind of product, you will need to shell a hefty €1,930… You read that correctly… Know that the R-D1s is not a gadget, but a real digital camera for photographers, based on the mythical BESSA R2 that only costs €500 max. Going digital costs a lot it seems… (the BESSA is shown on the second photo).
