HD-EP10, an HD-DVD player by Toshiba for Europe

The 2007 CeBIT held at Hanover, Germany, is the perfect occasion for Toshiba to announce and present the HD-EP10, an HD-DVD player coming to Europe. 1080P friendly it will cost 699EUR.

It is not Toshiba’s first try as the HD-XE1 (899EUR) was released earlier, this one is also 1080p compatible while the HD-E1 (599EUR) enjoys 1080i.
The new HD-EP10 then comes as a middle range product.

About the specs: SD image upscaled to 1080p, HDMI output, component, composite, analog and digital optical output, the audio part consists of DTS-HD, Dolby-HD, Dobly Digital, Dolby Digital Plus and PCM 5.1 possibilities.
It plays DVD, DVD-R/RW, CD, CD-R/RW and of course HD-DVD in 1080p glory!

I spare you the details about the promotion of HD-DVD over Blu-Ray, I believe your eyes and wallet should be smart enough to decide what’s best.
Let me end this with the dimensions (430x345x65.5mm) and weight (4.1Kg) figures. Anything else ? Thank you.
