Bandai tweak its good old iDog and introduce the Smartpet, a Robot Dog powered by an iPhone.

Nope unfortunately this is actually not a real robot per say but a simple, yet really cute and capable toy that use an iPhone 4 (iPhone 3GS and iPod) as “brain”. Schedule to hit Japan at the end of April and announced at around 6,500 Yen, the Smartpet reacts to your touch via the iPhone 4 screen and comes with other 100 facial expressions, as well as being capable to react to either voice commands or movements.
The Smartpet is also capable to do some basic choreography with other Smartpet connected together via Bluetooth.
