Panasonic launches tree new “Xacti” in Japan

Now that Panasonic “owns” Sanyo, all the cool AV (Audio/Video) Stuff that had Sanyo are slowly but surely rebranded as Panasonic, and today the later introduced its latest “Xacti” camcorder with two waterproof models including the HX-WA20, the HX-WA2 and as well as good old none waterproof HX-DC2.
The first model, the HX-WA20, announced at around 43,000 Yen, comes with a 16Mpix BSI MOS (Back Side illuminated), is capable to shoot Mpeg4 AVC/H.264 video in 1080/30p at 17Mpbs and 60i videos at 15Mbps, comes with a 5xoptical zoom, iA Zoom, a 480fps slow-motion mode (320×180), a 360° panoramic mode, and HDR. The HX-WA20 is also compatible Eye-Fi.
The HX-WA2, is a downgrade version of the HX-WA20 and only comes with a regular 14.4Mpix MOS sensor, a waterproof body but no 480fps slow-motion mode, while the HX-DC2 is just a HX-WA2 without in a none waterproof body. Both models will be sold in Japan at around 38,000 and 32,000 Yen respectively.
