GY-HMQ10, JVC’s new 4K camera is now alive!

Here you are the first professional oriented 4K Camera that you can, almost, afford! Announced at 750,000 Yen here in Japan and set to be available next week, the GY-HMQ10 shoots video in 3,840×2,160 or 4K and comes with the support of SDHC and SDXC in just 1.67kg!
Powered by JVC’s stunning FALCONBIRD engine, the GY-HMQ10 is capable to shoot video at maximum speed of 144Mbps (VBR) and AAC 2ch Audio at 16Bit/48kHz and 38k bps. Obviously shooting 4K video at 144Mbps require a serious amount of space and the GY-HMQ10 comes with four SDXC slot giving you the possibility to record up to 4h worth of 4K Video in Apple’s ProRes422 on four 64GB SDXC Cards in RAID 0 (256GB).
All videos will be recorded in 4k or Full HD AVCHD 60p, 60i, 50p or 50i(MTS). However, note that Full HD Videos will only be recorded at a 28Mbps maximum speed.
