[CEBIT 2012] Starsway, on the way to deliver affordable SSD and flash based storage

Starsway, a China based enterprise with solid roots in the manufacturing of PMP, MP3 players and USB Flash storage, featured a brand new line of SSD drives. The Starsway SOLID 3 drives are only available in 2,5 inch form factor. Starsway representatives told us the drives will feature a JMicron controller paired with synchronous memory chips.
Don’t expect a competitor for OCZ or OWC, this is not Starsway’s target, the company estimates 100MB write speeds paired with 200-250MB read speeds. Not exactly setting a new track record, but rather bringing an affordable solution to speed up your laptop or desktop PC with an SSD originating from a trusted & proven JMicron controller.
