Location Porter or H.264 streaming for pros in 3G

Sony offers video professionals a way to stream video taken with a DV camera (DV, HDV, BETACAM..) for production, by sending the video in H.264 from a PC equipped with a 3G connection to another PC (located in a studio) for editing. This solution is of course reserved to professionals with deep pockets, so you won’t see live HD videos anytime soon on Akihabara News. Using this system costs €950 for 2 weeks of use (data connection included?????), or less than €510 per month with a 1 year contract…
