[Hands-On] HTC One X and One S

HTC has always had a special place in my heart and seeing the company offering some truly amazing devices at MWC just make me want to jump into Android worlds forever with in my hands this very impressive HTC Once X

The One X is everything you ever wanted in a single device! This ~~LTE~~ Android 4.0 Smartphone comes with a 1.5GHz Quad Core Tegra 3 CPU, 1GB of DD2 RAM, a 4.7” 720p Super LCD 2 non-PenTile screen, HTC Sense 4.0, 1080p Video Shooting and a 8Mpx rear camera with a f/2.0 lens!

Now this maybe a little too much for some and if you prefer something more “down to the earth” HTC also announced the One S, a rather “normal” smartphone that comes here with a simple Dual Core Snapdragon S4 CPU at 1.5GHz, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, the same 8Mpix Camera with a f/2.0 lens and a 4.3” qHD Super AMOLED panel.

Come’on can’t be tegra 3 and LTE, The Tegra 3 can’t do LTE currently! Please review facts.

  True. As specified by the HTC site, the One X (Quad Core, 32 GB version) does not have LTE. Only the One XL (Dual Core, 16 GB version) is listed as being a LTE device.

  Oh wait, apparently Fujitsu brought a prototype to MWC – the F12arc. It boasts a 1.4 GHz quad core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor and is supposed to have LTE connectivity as well. Maybe T3 processors are capable of LTE after all? But for whatever reason, the HTC One X isn’t getting LTE connectivity, only the HTC One XL is.

  My understanding on Tegra 3 and LTE is that a future revision of either one of them will make them compatible with each other.

Tegra 3 is just a standalone Application Processor, it has nothing to do with the modem functions As for Fujitsu, they use Tegra 3 as AP and their own LTE modem coupled with it.
