Canon introduces a trio of new iVIS Camcorder in Japan

Canon introduced today three new iVIS Camcorders: the HF M52, HF M51 and HF R31. All three are scheduled to hit stores in Japan at the beginning of March, they come with different specifications: the High-end version, the HF M52 with 32GB of internal memory, SDXC slot, HD CMOS PRO, DiGIC DV III, Full HD and WiFi with DLNA Support: then there are the HF M51 and the HF R31. The HF R31 comes without WiFi and without Canon’s high end HD CMOS PRO sensor, but does have a 32x optical Zoom, instead of the 10x one installed on both the HF M52 and HF M51.

What is common to all models is the support of AVCHD MXP Mode with a 24Mbps frame rate in 1080/60i, or a 720p mode a 9Mbps. Interested in taking your camera for a swim? Canon has exactly what you need with the WP-V4, a waterproof casing for both the HF M52 and HF M51.

Finally, on the WiFi model only, Canon made sure that all photos and videos in 720p would be now compatible with most Android and iOS devices by offering the capacity for you to upload all your shots to any tablet, thanks to a dedicated free app called Movie Upload.
