Hitachi introduces its first 4TB Deskstar 5K4000 SATA HDD

This morning the Japanese/Korean manufacturer Hitachi GST announced its latest Deskstar HDD with the 5K4000 Series offering nonetheless than 4TB of disk space! Featuring the Deskstar 7K3000 CoolSpin technology, the 5K4000 comes with a 25dB idle noise while consuming 28% less power.
The 5K4000 comes with a SATA III interface and 32MB of cache.

    This will require an EFI BIOS to be recognized. Some of the newest PCs have it as well as Macs from 2007 onward.
