BD-HP1, the Sharp Blu-Ray burner

There we go! I declare we’re now officially entering the era of Blu-Ray! Sharp is now entering the market too with the BD-HP1, a new Blu-Ray player/burner (supporting only single layer disks for burning). It allows 3 hours of HD video (17Mbps) on a 25GB disk or 6 hours and 30 minutes on SD (8Mbps). Sharp equipped the burner with 2 i/LINK ports, 1 HDMI port and 1 D4 port.
Just as Panasonic did, Sharp announced a new universal remote capable of controlling all the Sharp products, the Fami-Link. The burner is priced at about €920.
