Scheduled to be shipped just after Christmas in Japan, Nec’s new HMD or Head Mounted Display Solution, the Tele Scouter is a new “professional” tool that includes the actual HMD Solution and a tiny Windows Embedded CE 6.0 terminal which allows you to access remotely a computer and its Operating system.

The HMD part of the Tele Scooter comes with SVGA resolution (800×600), while the terminal is powered by an ARM CPU at 500Mhz, with 256MG of RAM and 2GB of storage (1.7 accessible to the user), Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, WiFi ABG, a MicroSD Card slot, and even a web camera (no information of the cameras resolution) and offers around 4h of battery life for 360g. This Tele Scouter will be sold in Japan at around 400,000 Yen in its basic version and with an additional 1,9 million yen for the remote operating support software.
