Toshiba explains details of 55-inch 4K2K TV

Toshiba has just explained in detail the all new Regza 55×3 TV.

The new TV is in fact a 55-inch LCD screen capable of 4K2K resolutions (3,840×2,160) 2D or 3D. The 3D content is delivered through a naked eye system. The new screen will hit the stores in mid-December with a retail price arond US$11,200.

Lenticular? Parallax?
Either way, I’m intrigued…With both forms of naked eye (and with passive polarization) you lose half your horizontal pixels, but starting out with 4K rez, that gives you HD (1920) horizontally, while still being “Double HD” vertically; at which point I wonder if most people can perceive the difference.

Wake up, 4K resolutions means 4 x 1024 = 4096 and not 3840!!!
