Apple has created a market for iPad and no matter how great a competing product might become, it will still be a second rate trying hard copycat !

I want a great android tablet. I don’t want the iPad to be killed, and I can’t foresee any tablet doing so. Apple will maintain a substantial clientele who are willing to pay for the design and quality. Apple doing well compels android device makers to improve their products. Satisfactory alternatives force Apple to give their fans, er, users, more freedom, “But Mommy. Sergei gets the google voice app. Why can’t we?” “I will never…! Ugh! Damn you Brin. OK, Mac, you can have google voice too…” Repeat as android thrives . . .

So, to a point here, iPad killer analogies are insulting to MacFans and irrelevant to android afficianados.

and how many has actually succeeded?

While there are many apps for Android there are nearly no apps written for an Android Tab, so they will have to write some Tab specific apps or the iPad will forever rule the world.
