JVC offers the SR-DVM700, a video player/recorder that supports DVDs and Mini DV, with a 250GB internal hard disk, and the possibility to copy videos an all media (both ways). It has native support for DV, with MPEG-2 at 25Mbps (the maximum bit rate on Mini DV and Mini DV HD).
