What is the source of this information? I can find no reference to it on Sigma’s official sites (US or UK).

I emailed Sigma’s international office, and received this reply:

“We will be able to supply 100-300/4 EX DG for Sony mount in February 2007.
We regret two weeks behind production. However, we did not launch HSM for 100-300/4 EX DG Sony mount.”

Your blog entry stating that the lens would be a HSM version is quite incorrect.
