I was in August in Japan a year ago and now I know what it means when say HOT. It is not only the temperature but more the high humidity what makes it no fun at all.

define hot?… i live on a semi-desertic place, within city is about 21°C/40 °C (70/104 °F)
in the rural area is up to 51°C / 124 °F

We moved to the west coast of Canada a couple years ago. People here whine it’s too hot and I have seen people with the air conditioning turned on in their car when it’s 21 celsius!
