Sony to inter into the EV Battery Car business

According to the Mainichi Daily News (Via Kyodo), Sony is apparently in Talk since mid 2010 with several automakers around the world in order to propose its skill and technology with it comes with lithium-ion batteries for EVs.
With its experience in Batteries this kind of announcement makes total sense and there is no reason why other companies like Sanyo or Toshiba (among others) could the only one to make Batteries for EV in Japan.
Anyway like its competitors, Sony is considering developing batteries for gasoline-electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids as well as currently developing a lithium-ion battery with a long life that is resistant to deterioration even when recharged repeatedly.
