Here you are one of Omron’s finest new projects with Smart Sensing Modules or SSM that help the company to reduce up to 25% its power consumption.
Used at Omron Semiconductor factory in Yasu Shiga, these new SSMs help the company to better redistribute power when needed. Thanks to several “Human Detection Sensors”, Flow Sensors, Temperature and Humidity Sensor, Omron is now capable across its factory to deliver the correct amount of power needed for both lighting and Air Conditioning only when human presence is detected.
These SSMs also help each places where they are located to adapt luminosity, AC’s power and Temperature depending not only of Human presence but also on the room temperature to either keep the correct temperature all year long or to adapt both Humidity level and temperature to the needs of humans in the room.
