Sony Europe introduces the HD-PG5 Series, its First Bravia Ready External HDD

Sony Europe introduced this morning the HD-PG5 Series a 2.5” external USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 500GB HDD designed to be used with Bravia TVs USB Recording mode or with compatible HandyCam Camcorders with their Direct Copy function.
Also compatible with both the PS3 and your PC, the HD-PG5 comes with several PC only features including a 256-bit security encryption as well as some dedicated Back-up and restoration applications.
Finally the HD-PG5 series in its 500GB version will be available in UK, France and Germany only starting this week.
