Pioneer Japan introduced the AVIC-ZH09-MEV, the company’s first Navigation System tailored and optimized for an EV (Electric Vehicle).

Pioneer did not simply re-brand one of its Navigation Systems, but built a completely new device that will give you the most accurate information possible to help you to better manager your car batteries.

Equipped with several sensors and connected to the Internet, the AVIC-ZH09-MEV offers the usual route information. In addition, the ECO Mode, a new Mode capable of presenting the most power efficient way to arrive from point A to point B by taking into account your actual power reserve, as well as wind drag, also how much power you can get while braking or decelerating!

This Navigation System includes a new ECO Status that will show you how much energy you saved, used, generated or converted in the past few days, as well as your instant power consumption in order to better inform you and educate you on your style while driving.

Another interesting feature is the Eco Status Multi-window that will give you all the relevant information on your consumption, range, power generation, on top of your guiding map display while driving.

Finally the GPS will also tell you where the closest EV Quick Charging Station is, as well as giving you the option to easily retrieve your power/consumption Data from your PC.

The AVIC-ZH09-MEV will be available in Japan at the end of July for around 246,750 Yen.
