L226WT, the 22” Vista Ready screen
Attention shoppers, “Marketing Masturbation” ahead! This is the first LG LCD for PC with the “Made for Vista” and “Vista Ready” logos… So the future non-geek shopper will sweat a lot when these screens will hit the market… It’ll be like: What?? My brand new LCD is not Vista Ready?? OMG!! What am I gonna do?? My screen will not display anything under Vista!! My dear readers, let’s pray for those poor retailers who will have to explain what the heck this logo really means…
Anyway, shall we go back to our screen? The L226WT is a 22” LCD screen with a 1680×1050 resolution, a 300cd/m2 brightness, a 3000:1 ration for contrast, a 5ms response time, DV-D, and a 170° viewing angle. Otherwise, the Vista thing tells the screen will be using Vista’s Aero Glass, pretty much as any other screen on the market today.
